How could people Get Involved?

There were 12 direct ways for getting involved in the 5th World Water Forum. 

By clicking on the links, you can discover more about each way to contribute. The different sections guide you in contacting the right persons for each part of the Forum. 

That's how interested parties could get involved in various process of the Forum.

  • Contribute to the development of a session: indicate what you would bring to the debate;
  • Get involved in a regional process: contact your coordinator of your region;
  • Organize your involvement through your major group;
  • Comment on the issues to be debated by participants in the Forum’s political components;
  • Propose an activity in the learning centre: offer training to Forum participants during the Forum;
  • Inform others about water issues: all media are invited to cover the event and its preparation; 
  • Be a candidate for a Prize: highlight your action, life’s work, legislation or awareness-raising contribution;
  • Participate in the Youth World Water Forum: share your ideas and experiences with your peers and act together now for the future;
  • Contribute to the Global Water Education Village: offer educational activities to children who visit the Forum, contact Jessica Patrick at ProjectWet.
  • Raise awareness: propose a film or documentary for the International Water and Film Event;
  • Register as a participant for the Forum week.

Participation in the 5th World Water Forum was mainly facilitated through the Virtual Meeting Space (VMS), an online collaboration tool that allowed you to be part of the debate that shaped the future orientation of water management in the world.
